On the occasion of their 140th anniversary in 2008 IWC Schaffhausen launches a Vintage Watch Collection including 6 watches. To introduce the new Vintage Watch Collection worldwide special Trade Exhibition Kits are developed. They communicate the long tradition and the art of watchmaking of IWC Schaffhausen. The new collection and the history of IWC Schaffhausen from the foundation by the american watch maker F.A. Jones are presented. There is a guild of watchmakers in Schaffhausen as early as 1583.Schaffhausen is thus almost 20 years ahead of the watchmaking centre of Geneva. That F.A. Jones tried his luck in 1868 not in the west but rather in the east of switzerland can undoubtly also be attributed to the watchmaking knowledge amassed there. The Exhibition Kits consist of two Theme Walls, a Road Show Wall, 7 Showcases and 4 Banners.
