The Italian art exhibition presents paintings and drawings from the art centres of the 16th and 18th century, such as Venice in the northern part and Naples in central Italy. The exhibition Leonardo da Vinci - Scientist and Inventor has already been presented in the Seoul Arts Center in 1998. However, this exhibition focuses on Italian paintings and drawings as the fundamentals of European art. The cooperation between the Hangaram Art Museum (Seoul Arts Center, Korea) and the Staatliches Museum Schwerin (Art Collections, Palaces and Gardens) unites the two institutions in Korea and Germany by creating the exhibition “From Leonardo to Tintoretto”, which feature the similarities in the histories of its nations.
The exhibition presents works from Tintoretto, Veronese, Giordano, Bellotto, Strozzi and de Conti, supported by a cabinet of the Staatliches Museum Schwerin with facsimiled drawings of Leonardo da Vinci.
The exhibition is no longer available.
