The Italian art exhibition presents paintings and drawings from the art centres of the 16th and 18th century such as Venice in the northern part, as well as Naples in central Italy. The exhibition Leonardo da Vinci - Scientist and Inventor has already been presented in Seoul Arts Center in 1998. However, here the exhibition focuses on Italian painting and drawing as one of the fundamentals of European art. The cooperation between the Hangaram Art Museum (Seoul Arts Center, Korea) and The Staatliches Museum Schwerin (Art Collections, Palaces and Gardens) unites the two institutions in Korea and Germany with the exhibition “From Leonardo to Tintoretto”, which feature some similarities in the history of its nations.
The exhibition presents works from Tintoretto, Veronese, Giordano, Bellotto, Strozzi and de Conti, supported by an cabinet of Staatliches Museum Schwerin with facsimiled drawings of Leonardo da Vinci.
The exhibition is no longer available.
